Sarah's Birthday to the Zoo!

Saturday morning we got up a little later than planned and the 4 of us with my littlest nephew in tow headed off to Dallas to the Zoo. Originally I had planned on getting us up and on our way so that we could be there around 10am when they opened, instead we were about 2 hours late! So we ended up not getting to see a big section of the zoo. Princess had a blast though and all of the kids were perfect angels. JW walked the entire 3 hours we were there and didn't complain 1 single time! He even told us when he needed to go potty and managed to hold it until we reached the restrooms, although BW had to go in with him mommy wouldn't do! The only issue we are having in that department lately is going #2 in the potty (if you have any ideas PLEASE let me know how to get him convinced he can do it in the potty!) other than that and night time #1 daytime #1 is good to go!! I can not wait until I no longer have to buy Pull-Ups!! On the way home we stopped in Forney at Chili's and had dinner, b/c that is where Princess requested to eat! BW informed our waiter that it was her birthday and they came out and sang to her! I wish I would have taken our camera in to take pictures b/c even though she knew it was coming it was still priceless!! I will get some pictures up soon, I've got to get them on the computer....maybe tomorrow???

Off to change a poopy diaper! Yeah me! YUCK!

Things are looking better!

Okay so last Thursday I met w/ a guy and applied for a job with Reliable Life Insurance (Life, Home and something else). He turned in my application Friday and told me that it normally takes about a week to have everything approved and the background check done, etc. Well, Monday morning he called and told me that I had been approved!!! I set a meeting for Tuesday morning at the corporate office in Dallas to meet with his boss. I arrived about 15-20 minutes early and we talked for awhile then I went for my drug test. During the drive over I drove my loving husband nuts having him help me find my way over to where I needed to go. Got that taken care of and headed back to the office. Talked for a short time got a study book and headed home!!

As of right now I start Oct 13, my last day at the daycare is Oct 2-3?? I'm hoping we can do the 2nd b/c the Homecoming parade is the 3rd!! This will be Princess' first parade!! I MUST be there! I turned in my notice Tuesday and I am already missing my kids and I'm not even gone from there yet! But I am looking forward to starting my new job and the pay that comes with it!!

Yeah tomorrow is Friday!!!! This week has been a little on the depressing side. I'm not getting enough hours at my current job and I haven't had much to no luck with any of the jobs I have applied at. Hubby isn't getting the overtime he was previously which makes for less than desirable checks.....they are still really nice, just not what momma had gotten used to!!!

On a bright note I met with the advisor for Girl Scouts this morning and got the ball rolling on getting a troop started here in town. She is hoping it will spark interest in maybe someone wanting to start a troop for the older girls as the one I am hoping to get started will be for girls in K-3. Now to find a place to hold the meeting at!! I'm thinking of Tuesday afterschool maybe from 5-6:30 or 6-7:30, then changing it to either Monday or Thursday once pee-wee football is over.

Well, its almost 11pm so I think I'm gonna go to bed, it's hot in the house b/c the a/c died and we are stuck w/ window units in the bedrooms for about a week :(

Girl Scouts

I'm working on getting a Girl Scout troop started here in Grand Saline. Hopefully I'll have more information soon! So if you have a girl or know anyone Girl Scout age, keep watch!! Off to pick up the kids at school and finish moving!!!!

Home Warranty

Today I got to place my first claim on our Home Warranty!! I am so glad that we had one put in with our home offer!! The a/c had been acting funny that past couple of days. I noticed that the inside unit would just keep running (just the fan) causing the house to heat back up but wouldn't kick off once the temp dropped below the set temp. The outside unit wasn't running the entire time, but still it was running my electric up and I could see the $$$ flying out of the meter!!! Well today I turned the temp down to cool down the house since we had been gone for a while and noticed that it wasn't getting cooler, in fact, it was getting WARMER!!! I opened the back door and noticed a noise that sounded like a weed eater going, but it was the outside unit!!!! I called the 1-800 # and they said a man would call, and he did, within 15 minutes MAX!! He should be here sometime tomorrow afternoon! Thankfully it's nice outside and the ceiling fans keep the house nice and comfortable as long as you aren't doing lots of moving around! Will update on what happens tomorrow!!

First Night in the New house

Last night was our first night to sleep in the new house. Friday night hubby and I picked up some new bed sets for Princess and JW. At first Princess was herself and didn't like her's but soon warmed up to it. JW was with us when we were picking them out so he had some say in what he wanted. Princess was on one of her I don't wanna go kicks and stayed with her Nana and Papa so she didn't get any say. We were still moving things around 9pm last night and I swore if I ever move again, someone else is going to come and pack and move everything, or I will sell everything and buy new where ever we move to. BUT, I doubt we will move anytime before the kids graduate!!! JW isn't quite convinced that this is our home yet. He keeps asking to go home, it's such a poor pitiful voice he asks it in, it almost (almost being the key word) makes me want to take him back to the old house. It seems he feels like he shouldn't give up his place in the bed with hubby and I that he has been able to sleep in since all of this packing and moving stuff began, oh so very long ago. To convince him it was okay to sleep under the new dinosaur comforter in his big boy bed, mommy had to lay down with him. This is a twin sized bed mind you, and well......I'm not so much of a twin sized girl. I was so relieved when he crashed and I managed to get out of the bed w/out falling out or waking him up. Currently he is trying to crash out beside me in my bed.... little does he know, he will be relocated to a more desirable location once he is fully asleep!!

We are living in the stone ages until Wednesday. That's right folks, I'm currently typing this thanks to Verizon home phone service and MAN do I miss my cable internet service....AND cable!! I wonder if I knocked on a new neighbors door with a spool of cable and a splitter they'd let me borrow cable until Wed??? It's worth a try right???

We are still without a refrigerator, tomorrow morning we are going to pick up a small dorm sized one to use for about a week, or until I get the final word on if we are getting the one I promised to buy from a friend (which I hope we are!!!) Other than that we now get to replace the garbage disposal and do a little work on the dish washer, the motor is trashed on the disposal and when the dish washer pumps the water out, it pumps it up into the sink with the garbage disposal then it drains out???? Who knows?? Hubby is going to check it out. I am starting to look for 2 small wooden night stands. I have an idea of them in my head and want to paint one White for Princess and one maybe Red for JW? That's still to come.

Yesterday I received the approval of my in laws and my MIL's best friends on the house, everyone on my side except dad has seen the house and so far everyone really likes it and hasn't pointed out anything that we don't already know needs to be fixed.

Well, I'm eating away at my dial up minutes so I guess I'll call it a night. Until Wednesday!!!
